You know the drill. I find the smartest, edgiest, and hopefully sexiest people I know who have the characteristics of entrepreneurship to contribute advice to The Chancebending Network. Today we’re talking with Elizabeth Bass.

Elizabeth Bass gives her take on the meaning and importance of design…

“Not into predictions. I’d rather tell you this- I hope we start bridging the online and IRL experiences more and companies in the Middle East/Asia/Africa (upcoming parts of the world) start using design thinking as a way to guide their thinking process, or at least to start it. “Design” shouldn’t be left for the end because the CEO thinks it’s a matter or photoshopping a product onto a background. Design is in every detail of a product of experience and unless we start thinking about what products and experiences we’re putting out into the world and their consequences, we’ll all just be sending mindless content into the ether hoping it sticks- that’s pollution. I don’t believe in having 100+ of the same SaaS platforms with a slight deviation in name/business strategy. We should have by now and hopefully in the future, 100+ different communities online and IRL talking about and solving bigger problems- mental health, rights, policies even potentially solving the push/pull door problem. We need things which are more meaningful, impactful and creative and I’m very certain Gen Z will take us places as a society.”
