SUMMARY:

Hello everybody! This is Voice Entrepreneur with Ben Smith. Hope you’re having a great Sunday, or having a really nice weekend. I wanted to brief you on what’s going on with our own Voice Entrepreneur community and bring you a few cool Alexa kids skills and then have a great week.

So first up, I’m heading over to Las Vegas this afternoon for a few interesting meetings. I actually get to take part in the technical Emmys that are taking place this afternoon, which should be pretty fun. We’ll see what that’s all about. I also wanted to remind people that we have the Voice Entrepreneur meetup that’s happening at Mucker Capital over on the westside of Los Angeles and Santa Monica on April 24, so check out the show notes for more information. You can also find more information at eventbrite, you can go to my Twitter, which is @Benjamin Smith. We’ll all learn more, but we’re going to be chopping it up, we’re going to have some really interesting people from various platforms talking. We’re going to have entrepreneurs teach you how to make the best of this new emerging space. So yeah, I’m really looking forward to that. I can’t wait until until it happens. But what I wanted to talk to you today about was the question I got a few days ago from from a listener.

T listener asked me what are some of the best kids skills on the Alexa device. So, great question, and I just started to dig in, but three that come to mind right off the bat. The first is the Sesame Street Alexa skill. It’s pretty good. I think a lot of you know I have three kids under three years old. So, my house is filled with Sesame Street at the moment and Elmo. Is it me, or is it amazing how how much Elmo has become the face of Sesame Street? iIn my day that was not the case. But anyways, that is a little bit of a side note. But yeah, so the the Sesame Street skill is not great, but it’s it’s really cool and it’s good and it’s basically talks with Elmo with your kids. See what they think– I’m very curious if you like it.

So that’s one. Another one that comes to mind is Music Sandwich. Music Sandwich is made by a friend of the show, John G, and John was explaining his skill on a previous show on voice entrepreneur, I forget the number offhand but I’ll leave that up in the show notes as well. Music Sandwiches. So cool. Basically, you can create what it sounds like, a music sandwich, using notes as the bread and meat and so forth. That’s really cool. All of you should check it out. Not just the kids, but the adults should check that one out as well.

Then the last one that I’ve had fun when I know that my daughter loves. Poop Poems. That’s right. There is an Alexa skill for  that, so enable that and check it out. We’re going to have a much more exhaustive list in the next few weeks, our skills and that’s going to be on www.bensmith.tv, But today I wanted to bring you three today.  So yeah, so I’m going to be broadcasting tomorrow from Las Vegas onto Alexa! Hope you’re all well, and until then, talk to you later.
