“It’s 2019 and blockchain is still a growing industry. But now businesses are recognizing the role they play in how consumers perceive and understand blockchain technologies. It’s a delicate relationship and ripe with nuance.

For example, most people associate blockchain with cryptocurrency. This isn’t entirely inaccurate, cyrptocurrency is supported by blockchain technology. But the terms aren’t synonymous. Blockchain is critical to hundreds of other technologies and industries. Real estate, automotive, education—you name it! But without the proper message, the information simply isn’t received by the average consumer.

The biggest challenge in disruptive tech content marketing has always been communicating complex technical ideas to average end users. So how is this all changing?

Businesses are adopting specific content marketing strategies to build informative, trustworthy relationships with customers. You can’t expect a technical whitepaper to sell your product every time. The most effective change on the rise is feature based marketing.

This strategy highlights a specific feature of the product and really drives home its value to the end user. Instead of selling the whole package, businesses are marketing what users need most out of the technology. I’m willing to wager that in 10 years—like most technology today—most people still won’t know how blockchain works, but they will know what it can do for them.”
